WiMAX operators have to look for new timely and quickly deployable solutions to further strengthen their position in the market place. Thus, the current coexistence with Wi-Fi can significantly help them to reduce the time-to-market by offering much-sought mobile broadband connectivity to the fast-growing number of Wi-Fi enabled smartphones and tablets.

WiMAX Lisboa, that will take place from 10th to 12nd May in Lisbon, is an event for all participants in the 3.5GHz WiMAX ecosystem to meet, exchange ideas, develop business and cooperative relationships. The event will highlight the opportunities, challenges and strategies involved in operating a profitable WiMAX network in the 3.5 GHz range.

During the event, Mr. Claudio Adriani, CTO and VP Product Development of WiTech, will participate to the round table “Understanding the Future Coexistence of Multiple Mobile Broadband Technologies”. In detail, he will talk about how Wi-Fi can be today a help also for WiMAX operators by leveraging Wi-Fi to deliver managed WiFi hotspot services.
